CSOs calls upon members of parliament to stand firm and pass a law that is good for Uganda

At a joint Press Conference organised by the Civil Society on November 28 at Hotel Protea, Civil Society applauded the stance exhibited by legislators on clause 9 which gives too much powers to the Minister and they encouraged the MPS not to give up because Uganda needs a good law.

Civil Society reaffirmed their earlier position that Uganda's petroleum resource is better overseen and managed by an independentinstitution (the Petroleum Authority) and not a political office.
